Before diving into all of fun details, I want you to get to know a little bit about me! Here’s all you need to know:
1) You can almost always find me snuggled up with my fuzzy socks on and vegan cookie dough in hand! However, I have such a travel bug in me and love to explore the world! Seriously, take me anywhere, I’m so up for the adventure!
2) I’m a sucker for the DIY life. Anything I see in a store, I think, “Oh, I can make that,” and then it ends up costing me way more to make than to buy. Whoops!
3) Britney Spears is my spirit animal and my forever queen. I saw her in concert in Las Vegas twice now, and, yes, I ugly cried so hard. No shame... kind of. :)
4) I’m a self-proclaimed plant mom, I love making smoothies, and artichokes have my heart! I also live for Oreos. Vegan much?!
5) I am crazy passionate about helping photographers feel confident in their work, grow their business, and reach those big dream goals! I’m so here for you!

I truly don’t even know where to begin. When I launched my business in July, I knew I wanted to focus on creating a web presence that reflected my brand. I have always been such a fan of Tori’s and loved her website so I approached her about designing mine.
Everything Tori does is driven by her innate creative eye, ability to understand the science behind photography businesses and tremendous work ethic. But what I love most is that she leads with her heart. Her sole purpose is taking care of her clients and mentees that I truly felt like my website was her only project.
I think we all know that Tori is an absolute unicorn of a human but let me just tell you what a smart and hardworking business woman she is. She led me through each and every step of the web design process - choosing a platform, template, color scheme, fonts, graphics, layout and more. I mean, down to little tiny details that made a big impact when it was all brought together.
She led me through my launch (which I didn’t even know was a thing) to help drive buzz and traffic to my website which created so much excitement and business from day 1. All of the love she put into each step along the way was nothing short of incredible. The finished project? I get teary thinking about it. When I saw my website for the first time it lit a fire within me. I knew my business was taken to the next level and I was ready to step up. It’s hard to explain but Tori just saw the beauty in my work and put it on display in a way that made me feel more valued than I ever had before.
But it doesn’t end there. She walked me through updating my website and getting to know my platform. She walked me through my blog and the importance of SEO. I attribute a huge part of my success to the website Tori designed. It appeals to my ideal client. They are constantly telling me that they love my website and blog and get to know me better because of it. I found Tori on Instagram and was immediately drawn to her work. After following her for a while and watching her stories, I knew I wanted to be friends! She is hilarious and so genuine. I finally reached out to her and we planned a mentoring session. I drove all the way from Maryland to meet up with her in New Jersey.
From the moment I met her, I felt like we were already friends. She put together tons of information for us to go over and answered all of my questions without judgement. She found an amazing couple for us to shoot together and showed me how she prompts and poses her couples. Her shoots are so much fun! After we finished the shoot, she showed me her whole editing and post processing workflow.
We could have talked for hours! She has so much knowledge and you can really tell how passionate she is about photography. Since our meeting, we have kept in close contact and she answers all my crazy questions! Whenever she comes across something she thinks would be beneficial for me, whether it’s an online workshop or just Lightroom editing tutorials, she sends them my way. Tori really wants to see her mentees succeed!
I was scared to reach out at first because I was afraid to be turned down and be seen as future competition in the field, but Tori is all about community over competition and is willing to help in any way possible! I can't wait for our future sessions!

what website platform do you design on?
how do i give you access to my account?
I use Showit5 for website design! It's one of the most versatile website building platforms for all creatives, and it allows for a ton of customization! If you're looking for a Squarespace, Wix, or alternate website platform, I can refer you to other amazing website designers who specialize in those platforms!
I will design your website on my own account and send you the unpublished preview site to review throughout our time! Once it's finalized, I'll give you a 'key code' to import the final design into your website so you can make any changes in the future whenever you want!
you mentioned 'brand', but i don't have one! what do i do?
i'm not a photographer, can you help me?
Without knowing it, you DO have a brand! Your brand is not just fonts, colors, and visual elements but rather the way you make your clients FEEL when working with you! I'll send you a questionnaire with helpful questions to dig into what the essence of your business really is from inspirations, goals, mission, ideal client, etc. Don't worry, I've got you!
Absolutely! My website design knowledge spans beyond just photographers as I love studying all different types of websites and brands for inspiration! I'll do plenty of research on your niche and pull inspiration from what you share with me to create an online space that feels true to you and your industry!
i don't have a ton of photos to use yet!
do i need professional headshots for my website?
No worries! The nice part about a website is that you can and should be super selective about the portfolio of images you're sharing! I'll help you choose the best of the best images to feature, and you can always add more down the line as you grow your portfolio!
It's not a necessity for now, but it always shows a more refined and confident website presence when you have cohesive brand photos throughout your website! Let's start with what you have and once you see it all designed, you can decide if you want to book a branding session with someone to get the photos you need! If you're a photographer, I'd recommend some self portraits or BTS photos for the time being. If you're not a photographer, any photos you have of yourself at work or that reflect your brand well will be perfect!
i'm just starting out, do I need custom design?
i don't have a logo or fonts, will you guide me?
Ooh, I love this one! I would say it's best to wait a few years before diving into a full custom brand because you may not know exactly what your business stands for just yet. You're still in the early stages of figuring out your niche, so spending the money on a brand that you may outgrow in a year may not be the best place to invest. I'd recommend the semi-custom design – choose a template you love and let's make it reflect you and where you want to go in the next few years! My goal is to craft your website so it lasts longer than one season before you're 'over it'!
Absolutely! Based on your questionnaire responses, I'll send over some font options (paid and free) that you can choose from to represent your brand vision! I'll guide you on fonts that are versatile enough for you to get the most use out of for website and any collateral designs you may need!
As for logo, I don't currently offer custom logo design, but I can refer you to some of my favorite designers who do! I'll also give options for DIY logos!
is showit hard to use?
will you design my mobile site?
It's definitely a robust program, but once you understand how all of the tools work, it's pretty intuitive! There are some frustrating aspects, I won't lie, but I can always create video tutorials for you to reference once you have your final website if you ever want to make updates! I'm also always here if you 'mess anything up' and need some help!
Yes! Showit allows for both desktop and mobile sites, and I design them simultaneously so you have a high-functioning mobile site! Mobile often gets forgotten when DIYing your own site, so I love to offer a cohesive, mobile-friendly site to compliment your desktop design!
what if i want to make changes after working with you?
do you offer a payment plan option?
Your website is a living representation of your brand! You should want to update it regularly! I want to get your site to a place that you feel really confident in sharing with the world, but you're always welcome to update and make changes after working together! If you ever need any advice or help, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Yes! I will split your full payment into 3 equal payments to help alleviate one large payment. Your first payment will act as your non-refundable retainer. If you decide to cancel your contract for any reason throughout the process, you will forfeit your initial payment. You will not be required to pay your additional payments or they will be refunded if you've already paid. Any materials worked on up until that point will be revoked.

If you're looking for a sign as to whether or not to go for a mentoring session with Tori, THIS IS IT! I was looking to break through some business challenges that I was having (getting more creative with posing, improving my client experience, and organizing my workflow) and Tori gave me all of the tools to grow in these areas.
She's incredibly easy to talk to and nonjudgmental, which is so important when you're trying to learn and need to be vulnerable to do so. Tori answered all of my questions and questions that I didn't even know I had.
Her feedback from the mentor session has helped me take my photography to the next level and helped me organize my workflow, saving me time and money.
